It was very cold and 5 times during the night I started my vehicle with my remote starter and let it run for
a few minutes. When morning came, it was still very cold, but it was bright blue with clear skies - and my
Jeep was still starting!
Since Chadron, NE was near the South Dakota border, the Welcome
to South Dakota sign was one of the first things I saw. I get around
to cleaning the windshield later.
Wind Cave National Park.
And there to greet me was this big Bison. I think he was licking the
salt placed there to melt the ice.
A couple miles down the road, two signs that explain.
If you enlarge the picture, you may be able to read them.
I turned away from the signs and watched these two antelope,
Pronghorns walk toward me. It was cold and I had to get back in
the Jeep. When I moved they bounded off.
The Crazy Horse Memorial. They have been carving this for over
60 years now. Very interesting story. http://www.crazyhorse.org/
