Their website Rock City
The Enchanted Trail. When I walked up, I said I'm here to see the
Wizard. They said this ain't the Yellow Brick Road. They have no
sense of humor.
The early path. My Mom would love this place!
Rock City puts on a Christmas display closing at 4pm each day
and reopening with a full lights display at 6pm. You will see many of
the setups along the way.
First narrow passage. This Rock City was the creation of the previous
owners. It was their personal rock garden. I'm sure they didn't move
most of the rocks but developed the path between them.
Nice stone paths lead you everywhere.
I swear these look like sheep.
Gnomes Overpass. I didn't see gnobody...
Goblins Underpass. Where's Bilbo when you need him?
A map of the site. Enlarge the picture to see everything it offers.
Nice!
A view of Fat Man's Squeeze from above.
Swinging bridge on the left, Stone bridge on the right. I went over both.
Nice sculpture on the rock ledge.
Must be the answer to a trivia question!
The observation deck.
The flags of the seven states.
Looking straight down from the observation deck. Maybe 200 feet.
Observation deck from the side.
The swinging bridge (with French tourists.)
Crafty wood swing. Not sure how comfortable it would be.
Fat Man's Squeeze, the gig is up! Not a chance...
Inside looking back at the steps coming down.
Looking forward, can I make it? (Of course I did!)
More big rocks.
Waterfall on the north side of the Observation deck. Notice the
formation of the frozen pool at the base.
A fountain built under the overhang of some of the rocks.
More rocks.
Notice the facade of the entrance (for the next picture.)
Enlarge this photo to see the type of rock that makes up the facade
of the Fairyland Caverns entrance.
Down into the caverns.
Must be a "Rock" band.
Stalactites and Stalagmites.
Quartz and coral make up the fountain's ceiling.
Mother Goose Village.
One of the various scenes.
A water wheel at the exit of the Fairyland Caverns and at the exit
of the Rock City.
